Brooklyn Museum Tonetti Associate Architects solved a problem that had plagued
the Brooklyn Museum for much of its 100 year history in its
Eastern Parkway building. Until TAA identified a new location
for on-site collection storage, the artifacts were kept in the
basement in sub-standard conditions. The new addition to the
original McKim, Mead, and White building not only created the
proper environmental conditions, but allowed researchers
access to the collection. The 30,000 S.F. addition also included
executive offices for the director and staff.
