GHESKIO Center has been combating HIV/Aids in Port au Prince, Haiti, for over thirty years. With clinical care and research they have provided hope for the poorest of the city's population. After the earthquake of January 2010, their role has expanded to also provide health care for inhabitants of the tent cities. They enlisted Tonetti Associate Architects to design a Nutrition and Family Health Center. It will combine nutrition, OB-GYN, pediatrics, adolescent and family planning departments within a single complex.
