US Fish & Wildlife Visitor's Center
Each fall, the Virgina's National Wildlife Refuge is the scene of a spectacular drama as millions of songbirds, monarch butterflies and thousands of raptors converge on their voyage south. TAA designed the expansion of the US Fish and Wildlife Visitor's Center, which helps visitor's understand the environmental heritage of the peninsula. With a compact footprint, the building was oriented to take advantage of the prevailing breeze and use natural daylight. Incorporated within the design are three-dimensional and interactive displays, a widespan observation window and a state-of-the-art auditorium.
